2018 Mazda3

  • The new 2018 Mazda3 has a lower starting price than the Civic, starting at just $18,095 MSRP compared to the $18,940 MSRP starting price of the new Honda Civic. The price divide between the two vehicles grows even higher as you climb in trim levels, with the Civic costing over $2,000 more at the highest trim level.
  • The Civic slightly more standard horsepower, with 158-horsepower compared to 155-horsepower in the Mazda3. However, the Mazda3 offers 150 pounds-foot of torque, beating out the 138 pounds-foot of torque in the Civic.
  • The Mazda3 offers an available 2.5-liter SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine that produces 184-horsepower, while the Civic offers an available 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that falls short with 174-horsepower.

  • The new 2018 Mazda3 comes equipped with standard Smart City Brake Support, which applies the brakes for you if you fail to do so on time when a potential collision is detected. While the new Civic offers a comparable feature, it doesn't come standard and will cost you extra.
  • The Mazda3 comes equipped with a standard seven-inch display screen that makes it easy to see and control. The Civic, on the other hand, comes equipped with a five-inch display screen.
  • Do you like music? The new Mazda3 offers six speakers throughout the vehicle, allowing you to hear your favorite music loud and clear. The Civic, however, only offers four speakers.
  • The Mazda3 offers 13.2 gallons of fuel capacity while the Civic offers just 12.4 gallons of fuel capacity.
